Plus, 'In Colour' tour announced...Jamie xx is set to release debut album 'In Colour' on June 1st, with lead track 'Gosh' already gaining firm support. • In Conversation: Clark April 27, 2015
"I'm not sure I want people to like my music..." When Chris Clark's seventh album came out, we raved about it (in the literal sense, and using words as well). Recorded in a Lincolnshire country barn, it took a fistful of the icy UK weather outside and splintered it into geometric shards of techno and drone. Closely following that, the War […]
    • Refused: Not F*cking Dead, After All April 27, 2015
New album 'Freedom' arrives on June 29th...Refused virtually re-wrote what a punk band could achieve musically, pushing post-hardcore into further, more exploratory realms. Splitting up in somewhat acrimonious circumstances, the Swedish band wrote a famous note which opened: “Refused are fucking dead...” Well, that's not quite true. Following […]

    • Spotlight: Miles Davis - 'Bitches Brew' April 27, 2015
A true jazz classic re-assessed...Can an album truly be a product of a particular period in time, and yet also be timeless? Miles Davis' classic jazz opus 'Bitches Brew' certainly comes close to achieving just that. Late 1969 was a heady time, when rock and revolution seemed to go hand in hand, and a new musical freedom seemed to open up to al […]
    • Joseph Turvey AW15: Exclusive April 27, 2015
The designer comes over all cult horror for AW15.In contrast with the SS15 collection – a colourful affair boasting watercolour shades of blue and pink as well as textures heavy in shine and sheer – Joseph Turvey’s AW15 guy is a hardcore cult horror film fan, and it shows. Referencing films like ‘The Craft’, ‘Wicker Man’ and Clive Barker’s ‘Nightbreed’, the […]

    • Premiere: Bensley - 'Wildfire' April 27, 2015
Check it out now...Bensley is still a relatively unknown proposition, a young producer whose sounds are only just getting out there. RAM Records are behind the electronic artist, with label lynchpin Andy C commenting: “When his debut drops it’s going to blow peoples’ minds! It’s great that people are interested and want to know about him because he’s never r […]

Great set of covers. May I also recommend this great live version by the Picketts? They do wonderful originals and clever covers (including “Should I Stay Or Should I Go?” and Yoko’s “Walking On Thin Ice”.)
