    • Amason: Riding the Big Horse
Amason never had a plan. The story of this Swedish band's formation spans years of friendship and admiration, a bond that eventually assembled itself into a band in 2012, when members Amanda Bergman, Pontus Winnberg, Petter Winnberg, Nils Törnqvist, and Gustav Ejstes put aside their musical projects to start anew.

    • Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp
Big time content producers like Netflix are currently in the business of reviving cult classics—in the loosest sense of the word, as the foreboding Fuller House looms on the horizon—but even die-hard fans of David Wain's 2001 movie comedy Wet Hot American Summer were probably as confused as the masses by the announcement of a prequel series.
    • Cyborg #1
Cyborg returns to S.T.A.R. labs following his death and regeneration at the end of Convergence, and his debut issue is a mixed bag of sci-fi weirdness and mopey characterization.

Sonny "Sundown" Garcia might be the most powerful and richest cocaine dealer in North America, but that doesn’t mean he’s un-killable.

    • Premiere: Loose Meat - 'Inside The Sun' July 29, 2015
Entrancing live electronics...Earlier today a file landed in the Clash inbox proclaiming to be the work of Loose Meat. Although the duo's identities are being kept secret, they have seemingly moonlighted for some years in a cult - and rather off-kilter - indie rock outfit. Loose Meat, though, is entirely electronic. Reminiscent of early Warp - think Squ […]
    • Premiere: Medicine Men - 'Lowlands' July 29, 2015
Scottish newcomers signed to This Feeling Records...Medicine Men have an oddly undefinable sound. New wave guitars matched to buzzing synths, there's an awkwardly infectious groove running through their songwriting. Working with new music hub This Feeling to release new single 'Lowlands', it's a sound the nation will be hearing a lot more […]
    • Listen: Ought Share 'Men For Miles' July 29, 2015

Debut album 'We Slept At Last' is out now, a rich document which finds Marika exploring her burg […]
    • Next Wave #647 - HÆLOS July 29, 2015
Spectral, emotive electronics...Sometimes things just work. Arthur Delaney, Lotti Benardout and Dom Goldsmith have made music separately for years, but when they first stepped into the studio together the trio could feel that something was, somehow, innately different to what they'd done before. HAELOS was born. “It felt really natural,” explains Arthur […]
    • The Idle Man: Rains x Hot Creations July 29, 2015
A new collab sees a palm tree planted on a rain mac. Like Skepta has Nasir (Mazhar), Jungle has Alpha (Industries) and Riri has tabs on everyone else, record label Hot Creations now has Rains. Brought together under the watchful eye of The Idle Man – the menswear independent launched online last year by ex-ASOS Oliver Tezcan – the two have come up with a mac […]

Folk inflections with electronic traces...Jono McCleery may well be a name that is familiar to you. • Premiere: The British IBM - 'We Were The Stars' July 29, 2015
New animated video...The British IBM are aptly named. There's something innately British about the group, in their approach, subject matter and execution. New track 'We Were The Stars' has a wistful, self-deprecating feel, with the Cambridge trio at times recalling Camera Obscura in their awkward glamour. Adrian Killens explains: “It started o […]
    • Premiere: This Is Head - 'Beginning' July 29, 2015
Lysergic Swedish troupe...Sweden is blessed with some outrageously beautiful countryside. It's here that psych-pop troupe This Is Head decided to record their new album.
